Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as a tight-end in the National Football League. He is considered to be one of the top American tight ends, he has the NFL record for most receiving yards for any tight end. Gonzalez is also ranked as the third-highest player in terms of number of receiving yards.
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst for the studio. Gonzalez is a regular on FOX NFL KICKOFF for this past season, serves as the host for the show. It airs every Sunday at 11:15 am ET prior to FOX NFL SUNDAY.
Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire from the NFL after 2013 was not true. The 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons the two-year deal worth $14 million. Randy Moss retired in 2013 in 2013, and Gonzalez aged 37 when he left, was able to finish the final year of his playing career as the NFL leader for receiving yards.
